Credit Cards Declined?
December 6 by John for Blue Defense: Second Wave!
We've had reports of credit cards being declined, affecting nearly 20% of our sales on Android Market so far. Sadly, we can do nothing to fix it. :(
It's a problem between Google and the credit card companies, specifically with foreign currency exchange.
Arguably, it's there to avoid credit card fraud, but eventually Google will have to do something to fix this! There are a large number of small time devs just losing out on 10%, 20%, even up to 50% of their sales, based on where they are selling their apps from, and in what currency.
So as annoying as this is, I can do nothing about it - I just need to wait.
As much criticism as Apple's app store has garnered over the years, I have to say they're really the best option for smalltime developers in the end. Kudos, Apple. Thank you for having your affairs in order so I don't need to make angry blog posts.
